Stand up! Don't stand for Homophobic Bullying

Standing up what you believe in is very hard when you actually get down to it. However, once you accomplish it, deep down it will make everything feel so right no matter what anybody thinks of you. As seen in the video that kid was scared of showin ghis true feelings in public because he knew there would be those types of bullys out there to make fun of him. And in the end you can see who had the last laugh as the bullys did not know what was going on as everyone started holdng hands just to stand up for that one kid because they didn't want him to feel the way he did anymore. This video should teach those bullys to accept gays into this world. Not everyone is the same and that is why life is so wonderful as you never know what will happen next. I respect gays even if I am straight; I am not one to judge ones being just because he or she is not similiar to the way I am towards others.

  1. I agree with your blog, standing up in what we believe in or on what we are would only make those people realize that gays, lesbians, etc. are normal people who also have feelings and standing up against homophobic people is hopefully going to open their eyes and maybe some of them would even come out of the closet because they can be one more person who is scared of what other may say.

  4. I think we should accept or at least try to accept the fact that that are gay, bi, etc. This is their personality and we should respect that. They also have the same rights just as much as we do and we should treat them like regular people and not discriminate them for their feelings towards the same gender.

  5. I'm so glad of the opinions here! :) Respect and tolerance is what will show that it isn't anything wrong, and yes it can be hard, but if you don't stand up for it, you actually value the ideals less than the security of being silent.

  8. We should all learn to be more inviting to those who are different than us. But all of this hate and mistreating of others starts at home. Parents need to show their children more compassion and understanding.
