Today in Egypt

Many different things have gone on in Egypt, but today they have been facing different crisis as there unemployment rate went increasingly off the chart. There have been riots and the city country going wild since the revolution in Tunisia had occurred. Over one million  people have walking the streets of Egypt pretty much on strike, as the disagree with their countries rules. Over 20,000 people are without jobs and each day that number is increasing.

Building Peace

After watching the clip in class about "Building Peace" it really makes you appreciate what the United States has and having so many rights. Other countries don't get much as much rights, especially if you are a female. Now I know it doesn't effect myself as much since I'm a guy but that just isn't right getting treated different just by your gender. In different countries education wise is different as they pay more attention to guys. Even though guys get more attention it still isn't as much as we do here in the U.S. which is unfair as kids don't get to reach there potential because there education is limited. Well, Greg Mortenson is working extremely hard to change all this, but he can't do it on his own, of course he needs help. Another thing that also doesn't make sense to me is that children under the age of 5 are not surviving because they aren't drinking clean water. Now that I think about it, us Americns take a lot for granted. We don't know how great it is to drink clean water or getting the education we need to better ourselves in the future. It is just unfair how these kids live over there and not being there fault at all. Hopefully Greg Mortenson straightens this up and does as much as he can to help those in different countries.
